Overview
Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) are third-party attribution platforms that help track and measure mobile app user acquisition, engagement, and conversion events. Integrating an MMP with CJ enables accurate tracking of app installs, in-app purchases, and other mobile conversion events across your affiliate program.

FAQ
Why do I need an MMP instead of direct tracking?
MMPs provide a single integration that handles attribution across all your marketing channels, with built-in fraud protection and detailed analytics — saving you the complexity of building and maintaining direct tracking.
Key benefits:
- Universal attribution across all marketing channels
- Advanced fraud protection
- Simplified integration through one SDK
- Detailed analytics and reporting
- Cross-device user journey tracking
Which events can I track?
You can track any in-app event your MMP supports, including app installs, user registrations, purchases, add-to-cart actions, content views, subscription activations, and custom events specific to your app.
Do I need separate integrations for iOS and Android?
No. While you'll implement the MMP SDK in both your iOS and Android apps, you typically configure one integration in CJ that handles both platforms. Each platform may require specific setup steps within your MMP account.
Will this affect my existing web tracking?
No. Mobile app tracking through an MMP is completely separate from web-based tracking. Your existing web affiliate tracking will continue to function independently. All mobile app tracking will be through a separate Action/Type ID.
What data is shared with CJ?
Your MMP sends only the specific conversion data you configure — such as anonymous device identifiers, event names and timestamps, order values and item details, and any custom parameters you define. Personal identifying information (PII) should never be passed to CJ.
